Mynyddbach has a rich cultural heritage and is the burial place of Daniel James who had the Bardic name of Gwyrosydd. Daniel wrote the words of the famous Welsh Hymn Calon Lân.

There is a centre within the chapel dedicated to Daniel James and  his story. During last year, 2021, further work was completed at the Chapel with the installation of new toilets, the refurbishment of the school room and new parking spaces created. During lockdown the chapel has been used for a number of different choirs including Morriston Orpheus, Swansea Philharmonic, The Bach Singers , Grenville Singers, Swansea Samba Band and Swansea Concert Band.
